Six OKLCH lightness steps, uneven on purpose: dense at the top for hairlines that are barely there, sparse in the middle. Two properties — chroma and hue — turn the whole ladder together.

One custom property. It marks the current filter, colors a link, and fills one button. Weight and the underline carry the same information, so nothing depends on it.

Order out of the plain grotesque

Body text sits on the baseline at sixteen over twenty-four, flush left, ragged right. Every line box on the page is a whole number of baselines, so blocks that start together stay in step down the column.

Measure and rules

Prose stops at the measure — thirty-four rems here — whatever the page width. Hairlines above and below take the lightest step that still reads, and their pixel is subtracted from the padding so the baseline holds.
